Information editing apparatus and information reproducing apparatus

An information editing apparatus for editing a reproduction manner of record information recorded on an information storage medium, comprising:

• a selecting unit which selects some partial record information from the record information, each of the partial record information including at least one picture information;
• a designating unit which designates a reproduction timing of the selected some partial record information;
• an extracting unit which extracts the picture information included in the partial record information as a representative picture information;
• and
• a recording unit which records the designated reproduction timing and the extracted representative picture information onto the storage medium as a reproduction control information.

An information editing apparatus for editing a reproduction manner of record information recorded on an information storage medium, comprising:

• a selecting unit which selects some partial record information from the record information, each of the partial record information including at least one picture information;
• a designating unit which designates a reproduction timing of the selected some partial record information;
• an extracting unit which extracts the picture information included in the partial record information as a representative picture information;
• and
• a recording unit which records the designated reproduction timing and a designation information indicative of a record position of the extracted representative picture information on the storage medium, onto the storage medium as a reproduction control information.
