System and method for comparing parsed XML files

A XML comparator comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory system coupled to the processor, wherein the memory system includes instructions executable by the processor to:
• parse the first XML document into a first list, wherein the first list includes one or more first tags and wherein each of the one or more first tags has a corresponding first value;
• parse the second XML document into a second list, wherein the second list includes the one or more first tags and wherein each of the one or more first tags has a corresponding second value;
• determine if a first order of the first list is a same as a second order of the second list;
• select a first tag from the first list and the second list if the first order is the same as the second order;
• compare the first value and the second value that correspond to the selected tag;
• and
• output a difference report if the first value and the second value that correspond to the selected tag, are not equal.
