A carrying device for skis and the like comprises a flexible inextensible wire loop secured to a fabric shoulder strap. The skis arm suspended in the loop via the skis' toe binding.

A carrying device comprising a flexible strap and a substantially inextensible loop securely fixed to the strap, wherein the strap is adapted to be worn over a shoulder of a user of the device and an element to be carried may be suspended from the loop.
