Abstract
A method, a system and a device for reducing energy leakage from an energy treatment device or system include at least one energy source, at least one sensor to detect energy associated with the at least one energy source or with ambient energy outside the energy treatment device, and a controller to enable a therapeutic energy source upon receiving a signal from the sensor indicating sufficient contact between the energy treatment device and a surface to be treated by the energy treatment device, such that a probability of energy leakage from the device during g treatment may be reduced.
Claims42
An arrangement for reducing energy leakage from an energy treatment device comprising:
- at least one energy source;
- at least one sensor to detect an energy signature associated with said at least one energy source;
- and
- a controller to enable a therapeutic mode of said energy source upon receiving a signal from said sensor indicating sufficient contact between the energy treatment device and a surface to be treated by the energy treatment device, such that a probability of energy leakage from said device during treatment is reduced.
The arrangement of claim 61 wherein said sensor is configured generate a signal indicating sufficient contact between the energy treatment device and the surface to be treated when the amount of the energy signature associated with of the energy source detected by said sensor is below a predetermined threshold.
An arrangement for reducing harmful effect of energy leakage from an energy treatment device comprising an energy diffuser, wherein said energy diffuser is adapted to modify predefined parameters of therapeutic energy produced by a therapeutic energy source in a manner to render the therapeutic energy substantially less disruptive to biological processes of certain tissue.
An energy treatment system comprising:
- at least one energy source;
- a treatment accessory, said treatment accessory comprising:
- an inner portion;
- and
- an output portion
- an arrangement for reducing energy leakage from said energy treatment device, said arrangement comprising:
- at least one sensor to detect an energy signature associated with a safe mode of said energy source;
- and
- a controller to enable a therapeutic mode of said energy source upon receiving a signal from said sensor indicating sufficient contact between the energy treatment device and a surface to be treated by the energy treatment device, such that a probability of energy leakage from said device during treatment is reduced.
A method of reducing energy leakage from an energy treatment device comprising, enabling an energy source upon receiving a signal from a sensor indicating sufficient contact between the energy treatment device and a surface to be treated by the energy treatment device.
