Abstract
This invention relates to a novel protein, termed BAA74848.1, herein identified as a Nuclear Hormone Receptor Ligand Binding Domain and to the use of this protein and nucleic acid sequence from the encoding gene in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of disease.

A polypeptide, which polypeptide:
- (i) comprises or consists of the amino acid sequence as recited in SEQ ID NO:2;
- (ii) is a fragment thereof having Nuclear Hormone Receptor Ligand Binding Domain activity or having an antigenic determinant in common with the polypeptide of (i);
- or
- (iii) is a functional equivalent of (i) or (ii).
