Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for determining autophagocytosis activity in a cell-free system and test kits suitable for carrying out this method. Particularly, a method for determining, if a test substance is a modulator, e.g. activator or inhibitor of autophagocytosis, is disclosed. Further, the invention relates to a method for determining autophagocytosis activity in a sample, particularly in a human tissue or body fluid sample.
Claims15
A method for determining, if a test substance is a modulator of autophagocytosis, comprising the steps:
- a) providing a cell-free autophagocytosis test system and a detectable substrate which is capable of being subjected to autophagocytosis in said test system under test conditions and
- b) determining the influence of the test substance on the autophagocytosis of said substrate.
A test kit for determining, if a test substance is a modulator of autophagocytosis, comprising a cell-free autophagocytosis test system and a detectable substrate which is capable of being subjected to autophagocytosis in said test system under test conditions.
A method for determining autophagocytosis activity in a sample comprising the steps:
- a) contacting a cell-free sample with a test reagent containing autophagocytosis-complementing components and a detectable substrate which is capable of being subjected to autophagocytosis under test conditions and
- b) determining the autophagocytosis activity in said sample.
A test kit for determining autophagocytosis activity in a sample comprising a test reagent containing autophagocytosis complementing components and a detectable substrate which is capable of being subjected to autophagocytosis under test conditions.
