Abstract
Methods for treating or preventing an epidermal or dermal disorder, e.g., psoriasis, using a CD2-binding agent, e.g., an inhibitor of the CD2/LFA-3 interaction (e.g., an LFA-3/IgG fusion polypeptide), in combination with an auxiliary agent, e.g., UVB irradiation, are disclosed.
Claims21
A method of treating, or preventing, in a subject, a epidermal or dermal disorder characterized by aberrant T cell activity or proliferation, comprising:
- administering to the subject an inhibitor of the CD2/LFA-3 interaction, in combination with narrow band UVB radiation, to thereby treat or prevent said epidermal dr dermal disorder.
A method of treating, or preventing, psoriasis in a subject, comprising:
- administering to the subject a fusion polypeptide which includes a CD2-binding fragment of LFA-3 fused to a fragment of the constant region of an IgG, in combination with an amount of narrow band UVB sufficient to reduce interferon-γ levels in the epidermis of the subject, to thereby treat or prevent said psoriasis.
A method of treating, or preventing, in a subject, an inflammatory disorder, comprising:
- administering to the subject an inhibitor of the CD2/ILFA-3 interaction, in combination with narrow band UVB radiation, to thereby treat or prevent said inflammatory disorder.
A method of treating, or preventing, in a subject, an autoimmune disorder, comprising:
- administering to the subject an inhibitor of the CD2/LFA-3 interaction, in combination with narrow band UVB radiation, to thereby treat or prevent said autoimmune disorder.
A method of treating, or preventing, atopic dermatitis in a subject, comprising:
- administering to the subject a fusion polypeptide which includes a CD2-binding fragment of LFA-3 fused to a fragment of the constant region of an IgG, in combination with an amount of narrow band UVB sufficient to reduce interferon-γ levels in the epidermis of the subject, to thereby treat or prevent said atopic dermatitis.
