Abstract
The first invention is characterized that, in a transfer device of an image forming apparatus, charge removing cloth (27) is integrally attached to an attraction plate (26) for separating a transfer medium after transfer. The second invention is characterized in that, in image forming apparatus in which a transfer bias is applied between a transfer roller (15) and an intermediate transfer medium (5) by a constant-current control means (50), a leak member (40) is arranged in the vicinity of the transfer roller (15) to allow current to leak from the transfer roller to the leak member.

An image forming apparatus comprising a transfer device, wherein said transfer device having charge removing cloth which is integrally attached to an attraction plate for separating a transfer medium after transfer.
An image forming apparatus in which an image is transferred from an image carrier to a transfer medium by applying a transfer bias between a transfer roller and the image carrier by a constant-current control means, wherein a leak member is arranged in the vicinity of the transfer roller to allow current to leak from the transfer roller to the leak member.
