Abstract
In a liquid crystal display, first and second substrates are provided opposing each other with a liquid crystal layer held between them, the outer surface of the first substrate serves as a light scattering surface having a light scattering characteristic, and a reflector including an irregular reflection surface is provided on the light scattering surface so that the reflection surface is on the light scattering surface side.
Claims5
A liquid crystal display, comprising:
- a pair of opposing transparent substrates having a liquid crystal layer held therebetween, an outer surface of one of the transparent substrates serving as a light scattering surface having a light scattering characteristic;
- and
- a reflector having an irregular reflection surface provided on said light scattering surface so that said reflection surface is on the side of said light scattering surface.
