Abstract
A color filter substrate for a liquid crystal display device includes: a substrate; red, green and blue sub-color filters made of a transcription film on the substrate and spaced apart from each other; a black matrix on the red, green and blue sub-color filters; an overcoat layer on the black matrix; and a common electrode overcoat layer.

A color filter substrate for a liquid crystal display device, comprising:
- a substrate;
- red, green and blue sub-color filters made of a transcription film on the substrate and spaced apart from each other;
- a black matrix on the red, green and blue sub-color filters;
- an overcoat layer on the black matrix;
- and
- a common electrode on the overcoat layer.

A fabricating method of a color filter substrate for a liquid crystal display device, comprising:
- forming red, green and blue sub-color filters on a substrate using a thermal imaging method, the red, green and blue sub-color filters being spaced apart from each other;
- forming a black matrix on the red, green and blue sub-color filters;
- forming an overcoat layer on the black matrix;
- and
- forming a common electrode on the overcoat layer.
