Abstract
Vehicle suspension device, specifically applicable to vehicles provided with rolling arrangements that has a resistance to the roll, pitch vertical rebound and axle crossing such that allows a weight distribution on every rolling arrangement, being such rolling arrangements connected all to a central device that is attached to the vehicle body, and that includes elastic means that through transmission means related to each other, receive the movements or forces originated in each wheel because of the weight variations and dynamic forces created on the vehicle during its traveling. Vertical forces or movements detected in the vehicle wheels are transmitted to the central device through hydraulic and/or mechanical means.
Claims31
Suspension device for vehicles, specifically a device applicable to vehicles provided with rolling arrangements such as wheels, sets of wheels, caterpillar or any other device capable of travel on the terrain in a horizontal way, specially on four wheels, in such a way that the system cooperates with the existing suspension or substitutes it, defines a kinematic and dynamic relationship between the vertical movements of each wheel which determine an opposition to roll, pitch, vertical rebound and axle crossing such as that it allows a weight distribution on every rolling arrangement, being such rolling arrangements connected all to a central device (CD) by transmission means provided with certain elasticity and movement damping in such a way that the central device, also provided with some elasticity and movement damping capability, takes charge of receiving the forces and movements sensed by each rolling arrangement and distribute them among the other transmission means, characterized by the fact that the central device attached to the vehicle body comprises elastic means that through the transmission means connected to each other receive the movements and forces originated at each wheel because of the weight variations and dynamic forces created in the vehicle during the vehicle travel, movements and forces that are interrelated in the central device with the collaboration of the mentioned elastic means, and transmitted selectively to the wheels in order to compensate such movements and forces originated in them, wherein:
- a central device that, attached to the vehicle body, receives the forces originated in each rolling arrangement, interacts with them and transmits them selectively to one or more of the rolling arrangements, either in a direct or indirect way,
- the central device contains two elements made of a two different diameters double piston that can freely move inside a cylinder with equal diameters to the two of the pistons where it defines three cavities, being the end cavity of the larger diameter side connected to an expansion chamber and the other two to the circuits and corresponding to transversely opposed wheels,
- the central device contains two elements made of a two different diameters double piston that can freely move inside a cylinder with equal diameters to the two of the pistons where it defines three cavities, being the end cavity of the larger diameter side connected to an expansion chamber, and the other two to the circuits corresponding to diagonally opposed wheels, being the two chambers of larger diameter in each of the elements connected to each other through a valve and
- two additional double piston and elements are added, which larger diameter end cavity is connected to an expansion chamber and the other two are connected to the conduits and corresponding to diagonally opposed wheels through a branch in the hydraulic conduit.
Device as in the previous claim characterized because the flow restriction valve closes when:
- a) A pressure drop is detected in any of the circuits connected to wheel cylinders that indicates a certain unevenness of forces related to dynamic or static causes.
- b) An accelerometer detects enough lateral, longitudinal or combined acceleration that indicates a certain unevenness of forces related to dynamic or static causes.
