Abstract
A hands-free dryer moves over a wide range of angles in order to dry the surface of a person's hair or body. The position of the dryer is controlled by a preprogrammed or programmable control unit freeing a user to use their hands to complete other activities.

A dryer comprising:
- a diffuser for allowing air to exit in order to dry a surface;
- movement means for moving the diffuser over a wide range of angles in order to dry different parts of the surface;
- and
- control means for sending instructions to the movement means in order to control the movement of the movement means over the wide range of angles.
