Abstract
The invention relates to a method of purifying an O,O-dialkyl S-[2-(alkylthio)alkyl] phosphorodithioate by purging a sample containing a volatile and the O,O-dialkyl S-[2-(alkylthio)alkyl] phosphorodithioate with a gas.
Claims20
A method of purifying an O,O-dialkyl S-[2-(alkylthio)alkyl] phosphorodithioate comprising purging a sample comprising one or more volatiles and the O,O-dialkyl S-[2-(alkylthio)alkyl] phosphorodithioate with a gas.
A method of reducing the level of volatiles in an O,O-dialkyl S-[2-(alkylthio)alkyl] phosphorodithioate having the formula
- 5
- wherein
- each R1 is independently C1-C4 alkyl,
- R2 is C1-C4 alkylene, and
- R3 is C1-C4 alkyl,
- comprising subjecting the O,O-dialkyl S-[2-(alkylthio)alkyl] phosphorodithioate to a gas purge.
A method of reducing odor in a sample comprising an odorous volatile and an O,O-dialkyl S-[2-(alkylthio)alkyl] phosphorodithioate having the formula
- 6
- wherein
- each R1 is independently C1-C4 alkyl,
- R2 is C1-C4 alkylene, and
- R3 is C1-C4 alkyl,
- comprising subjecting the sample to a gas purge.
