Abstract
A method of treating a patient undergoing analgesic therapy which comprises the separate, simultaneous or sequential administration of a therapeutically effective amount of an analgesic and an analgesic sparing amount of devazepide. There is also described the use of devazepide in the manufacture of a medicament which reduces the dose required for administration of an opioid analgesic and superpotentiates the effect of the analgesic.
