Abstract
A toner process involving, for example, contacting a toner surface with a reducing agent and a metal halide.
Claims30
A process comprised of contacting a toner surface with a reducing agent and a metal halide catalyst.
A process for generating a charge on a toner comprised of subjecting the toner surface to mixing with a reducing agent and a metal halide.
A toner process comprising contacting a toner surface with a reducing agent and a metal halide, and wherein said metal halide is selected from the group comprising of cobalt (II) chloride, cobalt (II) bromide, cobalt (II) iodide, cobalt (II) fluoride, tin (II) chloride, tin (II) bromide, tin (II) iodide, tin (II) fluoride, zinc (II) chloride, zinc (II) bromide, zinc (II) iodide, zinc (II) fluoride, paladium (II) chloride, paladium (II) bromide, paladium (II) iodide, paladium (II) fluoride, cadmium (II) chloride, cadmium (II) bromide, cadmium (II) iodide, cadmium (II) fluoride, antimony (II) chloride, antimony (II) bromide, antimony (II) iodide, antimony (II) fluoride, copper (II) chloride, copper (II) bromide, copper (II) iodide, copper (II) fluoride, nickel (II) chloride, nickel (II) bromide, nickel (II) iodide, and nickel (II) fluoride, and wherein said metal halide and said reducing agent are mixed with a toner slurry and said resulting mixture is heated.
