Abstract
The invention provides use of a polymer composition comprising polyethylenimine and one or both of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl alcohol co-ethylene for protection against harmful and/or noxious agents. The invention further provides a laminate suitable for providing protection against harmful and/or noxious agents, the laminate comprising a layer of a polymer composition comprising polyethylenimine and one or both of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl alcohol co-ethylene is also disclosed.

Use of a polymer composition comprising polyethylenimine and one or both of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl alcohol co-ethylene for protection against harmful and/or noxious agents
Use of a polymer composition according to any one preceding claim wherein the polymer composition further comprises a cross-linking agent.
Use of a polymer composition according to any one preceding claim wherein the polymer composition further comprises water.
Use of a polymer composition according to any one preceding claim wherein the total mass of the polyethylenimine, polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl alcohol co-ethylene comprise between 30% and 95% of the mass of the polymer composition.
Use of a polymer composition according to any one preceding claim wherein protection is provided against organic agents.
Use of a polymer composition according to any one preceding claim wherein protection is provided against harmful and/or noxious agents in the gaseous and/or liquid states
Use of a polymer composition according to any one preceding claim wherein protection is provided against chemical warfare agents and/or biological warfare agents.
Use of a polymer composition according to any one preceding claim wherein the polymer composition is in the form of a sacrificial coating.
Use of a polymer composition comprising polyethylenimine and one or both of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl alcohol co-ethylene substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to examples 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
A laminate suitable for providing protection against harmful and/or noxious agents, the laminate comprising a layer of a polymer composition comprising polyethylenimine and one or both of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl alcohol co-ethylene.
A laminate according to any one of clams 18-27 wherein the total mass of the polyethylenimine, polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl alcohol co-ethylene comprises between 30% and 95% of the mass of the polymer composition.
A laminate substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to examples 5 and 7.
