Abstract

A communication device, able to establish synchronization of frequency and able to continuously track a carrier even if an oscillation frequency of an oscillator changes, wherein the device changes the oscillation frequency of a reference frequency oscillator according to established protocols when the base station of the other party in communication changes by generating a frequency change signal for reporting that the base station has changed and the frequency must be changed and outputting it to a control unit of a GPS baseband unit and wherein, when not receiving a frequency change signal, the control unit makes a tracking unit operate divided into three groups of loop units of a group of loop units for the currently synchronized frequency and groups of loop units for the frequency f±Δfs of the ± change and, when receiving a frequency change signal, makes the tracking unit operate divided into two groups of loop units for the frequency f±Δfs of the ± change excluding the currently synchronized frequency band.

Dependent claims

A communication device for demodulating a received signal by a spread code, comprising:

an oscillator for outputting a reference signal having an oscillation frequency changing by exactly a predetermined frequency in accordance with the communication conditions;
a tracking unit having a plurality of loop units for performing tracking processing for said received signal based on the reference signal of said oscillator;
and
a control unit for monitoring whether or not the oscillation frequency of said oscillator changes and setting the synchronization frequency of each loop unit of said tracking unit in accordance with existence of the change of the frequency.

A communication comprising:

a first communication unit device including an oscillator for outputting a reference signal having an oscillation frequency changing by exactly a predetermined frequency in accordance with the communication conditions and outputting a frequency change signal when the oscillation frequency of the oscillator is to be changed and
a second communication unit for demodulating a received signal by a spread code, wherein
said second communication unit includes
a tracking unit having a plurality of loop units for performing tracking processing for said received signal based on the reference signal of said oscillator of said first communication unit and
a control unit for monitoring whether or not the oscillation frequency of the oscillator changes according to an input state of said frequency change signal by said first communication unit and setting the synchronization frequency of each loop unit of said tracking unit in accordance with existence of a change of the frequency.
