A semiconductor laser device, comprising a laser crystal, a holder for holding said laser crystal, and a filling material with a low melting point interposed between said laser crystal and said holder.
A method for holding a laser crystal in a semiconductor laser device, said method comprising the step of holding a laser crystal via a filling material with a low melting point, the step of heating in such manner that a temperature of the filling material will be a temperature near the melting point of the filling material, and the step of pressing and fixing the laser crystal to the filling material.
