Abstract
An outer mirror includes a mirror base laterally extending from a side surface of a vehicle body, a mirror housing having an opening and attached to the mirror base, a mirror member arranged in the opening of the mirror housing with its mirror surface tiltable relative to the mirror housing, and a plate member having translucency and covering the opening of the mirror housing at a rear side of the mirror member.

An outer mirror comprising:
- a mirror base laterally extending from a side surface of a vehicle body;
- a mirror housing having an opening and attached to the mirror base;
- a mirror member arranged in the opening of the mirror housing with its mirror surface tiltable relative to the mirror housing;
- and
- a plate member having translucency and covering the opening of the mirror housing at a rear side of the mirror member.
