Abstract
A camera apparatus with improved easy-to-operate photographing manipulation. In a standby state in which a photographing scene is selected previously, a sample image representing the selected photographing scene is displayed together with an image of a subject to be photographed. Further, in the standby state, another photographing scene may be selected by a certain key manipulation, and the sample images representing the selectable photographing scene are sequentially displayed together with the subject image.
Claims12
A camera apparatus comprising:
- a display device for displaying in a standby state for taking a picture an optical image of a subject to be photographed;
- a memory for storing photographing condition data for setting a photographing condition for the camera apparatus, sample images each for indicating an image of the subject corresponding to the photographing condition data, and additional information data for explaining the photographing condition and contents of the sample image;
- a selector for selecting one of the sample images stored in the memory in response to a selecting operation;
- a photographing-condition setting unit for setting the photographing condition based on the photographing condition data corresponding to the sample image selected by the selector;
- and
- a display controller for causing the display device to display the sample image selected by the selector together with the optical image of the subject in the standby state for taking a picture.
A camera apparatus comprising:
- a display device for displaying in a standby state for taking a picture an optical image of a subject to be photographed;
- a memory for storing photographing condition data for setting a photographing condition for the camera apparatus, sample images each for indicating an image of the subject corresponding to the photographing condition data, and additional information data for explaining the photographing condition and contents of the sample image;
- a selector for selecting one of the sample images stored in the memory in response to a selecting operation;
- a photographing-condition setting unit for setting the photographing condition based on the photographing condition data corresponding to the sample image selected by the selector;
- and
- a display controller for causing the display device to display the additional information explaining the contents of the sample image selected by the selector together with the optical image of the subject in the standby state for taking a picture.
A displaying method used in a camera apparatus which is provided with a display device and a memory storing photographing condition data for setting a photographing condition for the camera apparatus, sample images each for representing an image of a subject corresponding to the photographing condition data, and additional information data for explaining the photographing condition and contents of the sample image, the displaying method comprising:
- displaying an optical image of the subject to be photographed on the display device in a standby state for taking a picture;
- selecting one of the sample images stored in the memory in response to a selecting operation;
- setting the photographing condition based on the photographing condition data corresponding to the selected sample image;
- and
- causing the display device to display the selected sample image together with the optical image of the subject in the standby state for taking a picture.
A storage medium containing a displaying method used for a camera apparatus which is provided with a display device and a memory storing photographing condition data for setting a photographing condition for the camera apparatus, sample images each for representing an image of a subject corresponding to the photographing condition data, and additional information data for explaining the photographing condition and contents of the sample image, the displaying method comprising:
- displaying an optical image of the subject to be photographed on the display device in a standby state for taking a picture;
- selecting one of the sample images stored in the memory in response to a selecting operation;
- setting the photographing condition based on the photographing condition data corresponding to the sample image selected in the selecting step;
- and
- causing the display device to display the selected sample image together with the optical image of the subject in the standby state for taking a picture.
