Abstract
A length adjustable conduit has a hollow tubular body and a hollow tubular shaft coaxially disposed in fluid tight communication with the hollow tubular body. The conduit further includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the combined length of the tubular body and tubular shaft.
Claims8
A length adjustable conduit comprising:
- (a) a hollow tubular body having an upper end, a lower end, an outer surface, an inner surface and a longitudinal axis;
- (b) a hollow tubular shaft having an upper end, a lower end, an outer surface, an inner surface and a longitudinal axis, the shaft being attached to the body such that the longitudinal axis of the body and the longitudinal axis of the shaft are disposed along substantially the same line, the lower end of the shaft being disposed in fluid tight communication with the upper end of the body, the body and the shaft having a combined length;
- and
- (c) an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the combined length of the shaft and the body while maintaining the shaft and the body in fluid tight connection.

A sprinkler head which is adjustable with respect to elevation, the sprinkler head comprising:
- (a) a sprinkler head;
- (b) a length adjustable conduit attached to the sprinkler head, the length adjustable conduit comprising:
- (i) a hollow tubular body having an upper end, a lower end, an outer surface and an inner surface;
- (ii) a hollow tubular shaft having an upper end, a lower end, an outer surface and an inner surface, the lower end of the shaft being disposed within the body, the upper end of the shaft being attached in fluid tight communication to the sprinkler head;
- and
- (iii) an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the elevation of the shaft relative to the body.
