Abstract
A screen cleaning tool including a thin sheet of fiberous material made by a process that includes the steps forming fibers into a lacy pattern, compressing the pattern into a thin sheet, applying a curable adhesive to the fibers, and curing the adhesive and pre-moistening said thin sheet with an aqueous solution of materials selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, polysorbate, aloe extract, 2-phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, butyl paraben, ethyl paraben, propyl paraben, isobutyl paraben, and DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate in order to make it available to be wiped over the surface of a screen.
Claims12
A screen cleaning tool comprising:
- a) a thin sheet of fiberous material made by forming fibers into a lacy pattern, compressing the pattern into a thin sheet, applying a curable adhesive to the fibers, and curing the adhesive;
- and,
- b) pre-moistening said thin sheet with an aqueous solution of materials selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, polysorbate, aloe extract, 2-phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, butyl paraben, ethyl paraben, propyl paraben, isobutyl paraben, and DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate in order to make it available to be wiped over the surface of a screen.
The process of cleaning debris from a screen comprising the steps of:
- a) obtaining a thin sheet of fiberous material made by forming fibers into a lacy pattern, compressing the pattern into a thin sheet, applying a curable adhesive to the fibers, and curing the adhesive;
- and,
- b) pre-moistening said thin sheet with an aqueous solution of materials selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, polysorbate, aloe extract, 2-phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, butyl paraben, ethyl paraben, propyl paraben, isobutyl paraben, and DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate in order to make it available to be wiped over the surface of a screen;
- c) wiping said pre-moistened thin sheet in groups of one or more over one side of the screen to remove debris collected thereon;
- and,
- d) wiping said thin sheet, in groups of one or more over the other side of the screen to remove debris collected thereon.
The process of cleaning debris from a screen, mounted in a frame and set in a window well, comprising the steps of:
- a) removing the screen and its frame from the well and positioning it flat on a horizontal surface;
- b) obtaining a thin sheet of fiberous material made by forming fibers into a lacy pattern, compressing the pattern into a thin sheet, applying a curable adhesive to the fibers, and curing the adhesive;
- c) pre-moistening said thin sheet with an aqueous solution of materials selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, polysorbate, aloe extract, 2-phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, butyl paraben, ethyl paraben, propyl paraben, isobutyl paraben, and DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate in order to make it available to be wiped over the surface of the screen;
- d) wiping said pre-moistened thin sheet, in groups of one or more, over one side of the horizontal screen to remove debris collected thereon;
- e) turning the screen over on the horizontal surface and wiping said thin sheet, in groups of one or more, over the other side of the screen to remove debris collected thereon;
- f) folding said pre-moistened thin sheet into a thicker layer and inserting a portion of it into the window well and moving it therealong to remove debris that has migrated into the window well;
- and,
- g) re-assembling the cleaned screen and its frame into the cleaned window well.
A screen cleaning tool comprising:
- a) a thin sheet of fiberous material made by spin-forming fibers, of the type containing polypropylene, polyethylene, cellulose, and rayon fibers into a lacy pattern, compressing the pattern into a thin sheet, applying a curable adhesive to the fibers, and curing the adhesive;
- and,
- b) pre-moistening said thin sheet with an aqueous solution of materials selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, polysorbate, aloe extract, 2-phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, butyl paraben, ethyl paraben, propyl paraben, isobutyl paraben, and DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate in order to make it available to be wiped over the surface of a screen.
