Abstract
A positioning device for functional devices of printing presses, having at least one guide unit and one drive for moving and positioning the functional device for throwing-on/throwing-off movements with regard to impression cylinders. Weight compensation means are provided for the vertical displacement, so that the drive can be at least partially relieved of the weight of the functional device.

A positioning apparatus for functional devices in a printing press having impression cylinders mounted to at least one side wall, said apparatus comprising:
- at least one guide unit for guiding a functional apparatus substantially vertically;
- a drive for displacing the functional apparatus substantially vertically;
- weight compensation means for at least partially relieving the drive of the weight of the functional device as the functional device is displaced substantially vertically;
- at least one guide unit for guiding the functional apparatus substantially horizontally;
- and
- a drive for displacing the functional apparatus substantially horizontally.
