A plant container consisting of a grid [lattice] pot (1) and of a carrier insert (2) and a cover jacket (3) detachably connected to the latter, characterized in that the cover jacket (3) widens out conically downward and that a circumferential air slot (11) is provided between the grid pot (1) and/or carrier insert (2) and the cover jacket (3).
