## CPC

- H01C 7/12: Overvoltage protection resistors; Arresters
- H01C: RESISTORS

## Abstract

A mounting bracket for mounting a high voltage surge arrester to a power distribution system including a main body with a first end securable to the high voltage surge arrester and an opposite second end securable to a power distribution system bracket and a plurality of laterally extending weathersheds located between the first and second ends, the second end including a fastening hole that receives a fastener for attaching the second end to the power distribution system bracket, and the main body being formed of polymer plastic blend.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A mounting bracket for mounting a high voltage surge arrester to a power distribution system, comprising:
a main body having a first end securable to the high voltage surge arrester and an opposite second end securable to a bracket of a power distribution system and a plurality of laterally extending weathersheds located between said first and second ends, said second end including a fastening hole that receives a fastener for attaching said second end to the power distribution system bracket, and said main body being formed of polymer plastic blend.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A mounting bracket according to claim 1, wherein
said main body includes an inner rigid rod extending substantially the entire length of said main body.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

A mounting bracket according to claim 2, wherein
said inner rigid rod includes a fastening hole that is aligned with said fastening hole of said main body for receiving said fastener.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

A mounting bracket according to claim 3, wherein
said inner rigid rod is formed of fiberglass.
