Abstract
A method for conveying a rod-shaped article for a tobacco product comprises transferring the rod-shaped article from a first conveying drum to a second conveying drum and supplying a vacuum to the article at the second conveying drum only after the article is transferred to the second conveying drum.
Claims12
A method for conveying a rod-shaped article for a tobacco product, comprising:
- transferring the rod-shaped article from a first conveying drum to a second conveying drum;
- and
- supplying a vacuum to the article at the second conveying drum only after the article is transferred to the second conveying drum.
The method according to claim 10, wherein the step of tensioning the article comprises applying blast air to opposite ends of the article.
The method according to claim 11, wherein the step of transferring the article comprises triggering a movement surge with blast air applied to a middle region of the article.
