Abstract
A linefeed on a subscriber loop is generated to generate a current on the subscriber loop. A relationship between a voltage on the subscriber loop and a threshold voltage is identified. A current limit for the subscriber loop is modified in response to the identifying. The linefeed on the subscriber loop is controlled to modify the current on the subscriber loop in response to the modifying.
Claims38
A method comprising:
- generating a linefeed on a subscriber loop to generate a current on the subscriber loop;
- identifying a relationship between a voltage on the subscriber loop and a threshold voltage;
- modifying a current limit for the subscriber loop in response to the identifying;
- and
- controlling the linefeed on the subscriber loop to modify the current on the subscriber loop in response to the modifying.
An apparatus comprising:
- linefeed driver circuitry to generate a linefeed on a subscriber loop to generate a current on the subscriber loop;
- subscriber loop sensing circuitry to sense one or more voltages on the subscriber loop;
- and
- adaptive linefeed control circuitry to monitor a voltage based on the sensed voltage(s), to identify a relationship between the monitored voltage and a threshold voltage, to modify a current limit for the subscriber loop in response to the identifying, and to control the linefeed on the subscriber loop to modify the current on the subscriber loop in response to the modifying.
An apparatus comprising:
- means for generating a linefeed on a subscriber loop to generate a current on the subscriber loop;
- means for identifying a relationship between a voltage on the subscriber loop and a threshold voltage;
- means for modifying a current limit for the subscriber loop in response to the identifying;
- and
- means for controlling the linefeed on the subscriber loop to modify the current on the subscriber loop in response to the modifying.
A machine-readable medium to store machine-executable instructions which, if executed by a machine, perform a method comprising:
- generating a linefeed on a subscriber loop to generate a current on the subscriber loop;
- identifying a relationship between a voltage on the subscriber loop and a threshold voltage;
- modifying a current limit for the subscriber loop in response to the identifying;
- and
- controlling the linefeed on the subscriber loop to modify the current on the subscriber loop in response to the modifying.
