Abstract
A flexible tubular pipe comprising a metal carcass helically coiled about a longitudinal axis of said flexible pipe and the carcass comprises a seamed profiled hollow tube.

A flexible tubular pipe, of the type comprising one metal box section spiraled in a helix about a longitudinal axis (A-A) of said flexible pipe, characterized in that the box section (3) consists of at least one interlocked hollow profiled tube (3).
The flexible pipe as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that an electrical conductor is placed in at least one hollow profiled tube.
A process for manufacturing a flexible pipe, characterized in that at least one of the metal reinforcing layers is formed by a helical winding of at least one interlocked hollow profiled tube about the longitudinal axis of said pipe.
A process for manufacturing a flexible pipe, characterized in that said interlocked hollow profiled tube has an approximately trapezoidal cross-section.
