Proposed is a device for reliably generating signals in a motor vehicle, having a control means (10), which is supplied at least one control signal (24, 26, 34, 36), the control means (10) generating a trigger signal (25, 27) signal as a function of the control signal (24, 26, 34, 36), in order to trigger at least one switching element (16, 18, 52, 53, 54) or driver; and having emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69), which, in an emergency operation, generate the trigger signal (25, 27) as a function of at least the one control signal (24, 26, 34, 36); testing means (10, 12) being provided, which test the operativeness of the emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69) by selectively triggering them.
A device for reliably generating signals in a motor vehicle, having at least one control means (10), which is supplied at least one control signal (24, 26, 34, 36), the control means (10) generating at least one trigger signal (25, 27) a function of the control signal (24, 26, 34, 36), in order to trigger at least one switching element (16, 18, 52, 53, 54) or driver;
The device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein a fault of the emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69) is detected, using at least one check-back signal (17, 19, 60, 61, 62).
The device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69) are activated or deactivated in response to an edge change of the control signal (24, 26, 34, 36).
The device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69) are first activated or deactivated for a specifiable time span, after a defined time span as of the edge change of the control signal (24, 26, 34, 36).
The device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein a further control means (12) is provided, which activates or deactivates the emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69) as a function of the first control means (10).
The device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein, in the case of emergency operation, the emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69) cause the control signal (24, 26, 34, 36) to bypass the control means (10), and transmit it as a trigger signal (25, 27).
The device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69) include at least one two-way switch (14, 67, 68, 69) for relaying either the output signal of the control means (10) or the control signal (24, 26, 34, 36).
The device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein a measure of the current controlled by the switching element (16, 18, 56, 57, 58) is used as a check-back signal (17, 19, 60, 61, 62).
The device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein, in order to detect faults of the emergency-operating means (14, 28, 30, 67, 68, 69), the nominal state specified by the control signal (24, 26, 34, 36) is compared by the testing means (10, 12) to the actual state derived with the aid of the check-back signal (17, 19, 60, 61, 62).
