Abstract
Interchangeable Jewelry System for creating custom jewelry assemblies (20, 20′, and 20″). Custom assemblies are comprised of one or more interchangeable jewelry segments (22). Interchangeable jewelry segments can contain male (38) and/or female (44) interchangeable mechanisms and/or body connector assemblies (60, 60′, and/or 60″) for attaching to the body or to items which attach to the body.
Claims15
A system of jewelry, comprised of interchangeable segments, each segment of which is comprised of a main body and one or more of the following:
- (a) female interchangeable mechanism(s) structurally associated with said main body for interconnection to segments with male interchangeable mechanism(s);
- (b) male interchangeable mechanism(s) structurally associated with said main body for interconnection to segments with female interchangeable mechanism(s);
- (c) other components structurally associated with said main body which enable connection to the human body or to an item(s) which connects to the human body;
- (d) gemstones structurally associated with said main body;
- (e) an aesthetic design which is applied to at least a portion of the said main body of a segment;
- whereby a unique custom jewelry assembly can be dynamically created using one or more interchangeable segments.
A method for creating custom jewelry assemblies out of one or more interchangeable jewelry segments having male (projection and obstacle) and/or female (slot, latch, and wall) interchangeable mechanisms comprising the following steps:
- a. gathering as many interchangeable jewelry segments as desired provided that at least one is an interchangeable jewelry base that allows direct or indirect connection to the human body;
- b. opening the latch mechanism on the first female segment, thus exposing the slot underneath;
- c. placing the segment with the male assembly inside the slot such that the projection is within the slot and the obstacle rests on the floor of the female assembly;
- d. rotating the male segment downward such that the entire segment is held by the obstacle resting on the floor within the slot of the female segment such that both segments now face their desired directions;
- e. closing and securing the latch mechanism over the slot such that the male segment can no longer rotate out of the female segment.
