Abstract
The present invention provides methods and compositions for regulating Rop GTPase activity in a plant.
Claims55
A nucleic acid comprising a heterologous plant promoter operably
- linked to a polynucleotide encoding a Rop GAP polypeptide, wherein
- the RopGAP polypeptide comprises a Cdc42/Rac-interactive binding (CRIB) motif and a GAP domain;
- the RopGAP polypeptide inactivates Rop GTPase signaling;
- and
- the heterologous promoter is expressed in a plant tissue other than pollen.
A nucleic acid comprising a heterologous plant promoter operably linked to a polynucleotide encoding a dominant negative RopGAP polypeptide.
A plant comprising a heterologous promoter operably linked to a polynucleotide encoding a RopGAP polypeptide, wherein
- the RopGAP polypeptide comprises a Cdc42/Rac-interactive binding (CRIB) motif and a GAP domain;
- the RopGAP polypeptide inactivates Rop GTPase signaling;
- and
- the heterologous promoter is expressed in a plant tissue other than pollen.
A plant comprising a heterologous plant promoter operably linked to a polynucleotide encoding a dominant negative RopGAP polypeptide.
A method of modulating negative feedback regulation of a Rop GTPase in a plant, the method comprising,
- introducing an expression cassette comprising a heterologous promoter operably linked to a polynucleotide encoding a RopGAP polypeptide, wherein
- the RopGAP polypeptide comprises a Cdc42/Rac-interactive binding (CRIB) motif and a GAP domain;
- the RopGAP polypeptide inactivates Rop GTPase signaling;
- and
- the heterologous promoter is expressed in a plant tissue other than pollen.
A method of modulating negative feedback regulation of a Rop GTPase in a plant, the method comprising, introducing into the plant an expression cassette comprising a heterologous plant promoter operably linked to a polynucleotide encoding a dominant negative RopGAP polypeptide.
