Abstract
The present invention relates to an administration schedule comprising the intravenous administration of a α-halogen-acryloyl distamycin derivative, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The above administration allows the treatment of a variety of tumors in mammals.

Use of a α-halogen-acryloyl distamycin derivative of formula (I)

- wherein:
- R is a bromine or chlorine atom;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
- in the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of tumors by a schedule comprising the intravenous infusion of the medicament as a single administration every three or four weeks in an amount of from 0.85 mg/m2 to 20 mg/m2 of body surface area, or weekly for three consecutive weeks every four or five weeks in an amount of from 0.3 Mg/m2/week to 7 mg/m2/week.
