Abstract
A method of treating a patient for a Sleep Disorder comprising administering an effective amount of R-(+)-α-(2,3-Dimethoxyphenyl)-1-[2-(4-fluorophenyl)ethyl]-4-piperidinemethanol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a patient in need of such treatment.

A method of treating substance induced insomnia in a patient comprising administering to said patient a therapeutically effective amount of R-(+)-α-(2,3-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-[2-(4-fluorophenyl)ethyl]-4-piperidinemethanol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method of treating alcohol induced insomnia in a patient comprising administering to said patient a therapeutically effective amount of R-(+)-α-(2,3-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-[2-(4-fluorophenyl)ethyl]-4-piperidinemethanol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method of treating caffeine induced insomnia in a patient comprising administering to said patient a therapeutically effective amount of R-(+)-α-(2,3-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-[2-(4-fluorophenyl)ethyl]-4-piperidinemethanol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
