Claims11
A method for treating the neurologic damage resulting from spinal cord injury in a mammal, which method comprises administering to said mammal in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a soluble, recombinant thrombomodulin analog which is resistant to oxidation and wherein the methionine at position 388 has been replaced with a leucine, wherein the analog is numbered in accordance with native thrombomodulin (SEQ ID NO:
- 2).
A pharmaceutical composition useful in treating neurologic damage resulting from spinal cord injury in a mammal, which pharmaceutical composition comprises a pharmaceutical excipient and a therapeutically effective amount of a soluble, recombinant thrombomodulin analog which is resistant to oxidation and wherein the methionine at position 388 has been replaced with a leucine, wherein the analog is numbered in accordance with native thrombomodulin (SEQ ID NO:
- 2).
