Filtered electrical connector with ferrite block combinations and filter assembly therefor

Filtered electrical connector, comprising:

• a connector housing made of an electrically insulating material;
• at least two terminals each having a cable contact area for conductively attaching cables for conducting a signal to be filtered and a contacting portion for making contact with a corresponding contacting portion in a complementary mating connector;
• and
• a filter assembly, comprising at least two generally cylindrical ferrite bodies positioned on a common axis, said terminals extending into or passing through said filter assembly.

Filtered electrical connector, comprising:

• a connector housing made of an electrically insulating material;
• at least two terminals each having a cable contact area for conductively attaching cables for conducting a signal to be filtered and a contacting portion for making contact with a corresponding contacting portion in a complementary mating connector;
• and
• a filter assembly, comprising at least two generally cylindrical ferrite bodies, each of said ferrite bodies having at least one generally cylindrical opening therein, wherein the generatrices of each of the cylindrical ferrite bodies and the cylindrical openings extend parallel to each other.
