Abstract
The invention relates to cells transformed with self-inactivating retroviral vectors and their use in methods of screening for candidate bioactive agents that produce an altered phenotype in the cells.
Claims33
A method of screening cells comprising:
- a) providing a plurality of transformed cells, each said cell transformed with a retroviral self-inactivating (SIN) vector comprising a promoter operably linked to a first gene of interest;
- b) combining said cells with at least one candidate agent;
- and
- c) screening said cells for an altered phenotype.
