Abstract
A system for characterizing an electronic circuit includes a computer. The computer is adapted to provide an object-oriented application program interface (API) to specify a simulation model of the circuit. The computer is further adapted to translate the specified simulation model of the circuit to at least one desired circuit simulator.

A system for characterizing a circuit, comprising:
- a computer adapted to:
- provide an object-oriented application program interface (API) to specify a simulation model of the circuit;
- and
- translate the specified simulation model of the circuit to at least one desired circuit simulator.
