Abstract
The present invention provides transcription factor modulators useful for modulating gene expression in a cell, as well as pharmaceutical compositions containing these transcription factor modulators. The present invention also provides methods for modulating gene transcription in a cell and methods of treating a subject suffering from a transcription factor-associated disorder, such as cancer, inflammatory disorders or autoimmune disorders.
Claims36
A transcription factor modulator comprising:
- a transcription control recognition sequence for a transcription factor coupled to a membrane permeable peptidic sequence, wherein said membrane permeable peptidic sequence facilitates the delivery of said transcription control recognition sequence to a nucleus of a cell.
A transcription factor modulator comprising the sequence YARAARRAARRG coupled to the sequence 5′-AGT CTG GTA CAG GGT CTT TTT A-3′ (SEQ ID NO:
- 23).
A transcription control modulator comprising an androgen response element nucleotide sequence.
