Abstract
A method for minimising weight gain, preventing weight gain or inducing weight loss in a mammal, said method involving a treatment regimen which comprises administration of an insulin derivative having a substituent containing from 6 to 40 carbon atoms attached to one of its amino acid residues.

A method for minimising weight gain or preventing weight gain in a mammal, said method comprising administering to a mammal in need of such treatment an effective amount for said minimising or preventing of a first agent which is an insulin derivative comprising a substituent containing from 6 to 40 carbon atoms attached to one of its amino acid residues.
A method for prevention of obesity, said method comprising administering to a mammal in need of such prevention an effective amount for such prevention of an insulin derivative having a substituent containing from 6 to 40 carbon atoms attached to one of its amino acid residues.
