An adjuvant for vaccines comprising lecithin and a non-acrylic polymer selected from among polyvinyl acetate phthalate, cellulose acetate phthalate, methylcellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, and polyoxyethylene.

A composition comprising a vaccine antigen and an adjuvant wherein the adjuvant comprises lecithin and a non-acrylic polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl acetate phthalate, cellulose acetate phthalate, methylcellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene.
