Abstract

A light collection apparatus comprising a light source, a collection reflector that reflects the emission of the light source, and a compensation element that collimates light reflected by the reflector into a beam of small diameter.

Dependent claims

A light collection apparatus comprising a light source, a reflector that collects and reflects at least about 70 percent of the emission of said light source, and a compensation element that corrects the zonal magnification errors of the reflector to generate a light beam of low etendue.
