Abstract
The packaging system comprises a first plurality of interlaced fingers disposed in the upper portion of a box, and a second plurality of interlaced fingers disposed in a lower portion. The fingers provide provide a soft support for a product placed between the fingers.

A packaging apparatus comprising:
- a box;
- a first plurality of fingers in said box;
- and
- a second plurality of fingers in said box;
- wherein the first and second pluralities of fingers are adapted to support a product sandwiched therebetween.

A box for transporting a delicate product, the box comprising:
- a first plurality of interlaced fingers mounted to a top of the box;
- and
- a second plurality of interlaced fingers mounted to a bottom of the box.
A method of packaging a delicate product comprising:
- providing a box having a top and a bottom;
- providing a first plurality of flexible fingers on said top, and a second plurality of flexible fingers on said bottom;
- placing a product on said second plurality of fingers;
- and
- closing said box to sandwich the product between said first plurality of fingers and said second plurality of fingers.

A packaging apparatus comprising:
- a top portion having a top wall, a front wall a rear wall, and a plurality of sides;
- a bottom portion having a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall, and a plurality of sides;
- a first sheet of flexible fingers mounted to the front wall of said top portion;
- a second sheet of flexible fingers mounted to the rear wall of said top portion;
- a third sheet of flexible fingers mounted to the front wall of said bottom portion;
- and
- a fourth sheet of flexible fingers mounted to the rear wall of said bottom portion;
- wherein the fingers of the first sheet interlace the fingers of the second sheet;
- and
- wherein the fingers of the third sheet interlace the fingers of the fourth sheet.

A packaging system for use in a clean room comprising:
- a single-piece box having first and second pluralities of fingers mounted in the box such that a product may be sandwiched between said first and second pluralities of fingers, thereby protecting and supporting the product.
