Abstract
Organic light emitting devices are disclosed which are comprised of a heterostructure for producing electroluminescence wherein the heterostructure is comprised of an emissive layer containing a phosphorescent dopant compound. For example, the phosphorescent dopant compound may be comprised of platinum octaethylporphine (PtOEP), which is a compound having the chemical structure with the formula: 1
Claims20
An organic light emitting device comprising a heterostructure for producing electroluminescence wherein the heterostructure is comprised of an emissive layer containing a phosphorescent dopant compound.
A stacked organic light emitting device comprising a
- a first heterostructure for producing electroluminescence and
- a second heterostructure for producing electroluminescence, the second heterostructure being stacked on the first heterostructure;
- wherein at least one of the heterostructures is comprised of an emissive layer containing a phosphorescent dopant compound.
A method of fabricating an organic light emitting device comprising:
- preparing a heterostructure for producing electroluminescence, wherein the preparation process includes the step of forming an emissive layer containing a phosphorescent dopant compound.
