Abstract
A radial-air-gap induction motor is constituted so as to have a tow-layer air gap by setting a rotor between a cylindrical outer stator and inner stator in order to improve an efficiency by increasing the ratio of torque/(square of current) by a two-layer air-gap structure, apply a winding for generating a rotating magnetic field to the outer and inner stators, and form a squirrel-cage winding on the rotor.
Claims16
An induction motor having a radial air gap constituted so as to have a two-layer air gap by setting a rotor between an outer stator serving as an outermost-diameter-portion stator and an inner stator serving as an innermost-diameter-portion stator, provide a winding for generating a rotating magnetic field in the rotor for the outer and inner stators, and provide a squirrel-cage winding for the rotor.
