Abstract
A decorative cover positionable about a flower pot or floral grouping is formed of a polymeric material or a laminated polymeric material. The decorative cover has a texture or appearance simulating the texture or appearance of paper on at least a portion of one surface thereof while maintaining the structural and mechanical characteristics of the polymeric material from which the decorative cover is formed. In addition to the texture or appearance simulating the texture or appearance of paper, the decorative cover may further be provided with printed and/or embossed patterns, which may be in or out of register with one another.
Claims81
A method for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot wherein a customer wraps a sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot and secures the sheet in a position extending about the flower pot to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper while maintaining structural and mechanical characteristics of the sheet of polymeric material;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of polymeric material to a customer for use by the customer in wrapping the sheet of polymeric material about a flower pot and securing the sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot wherein a customer wraps a sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot and secures the sheet in a position extending about the flower pot to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of flexible, laminated polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper while maintaining structural and mechanical characteristics of the sheet of laminated polymeric material, the sheet of laminated polymeric material comprising:
- at least one sheet of polymeric material;
- and
- at least one sheet of material laminated to one surface of the sheet of polymeric material, the at least one sheet of material being selected from the group consisting of a polymeric film, a substantially water impervious polymeric film, a metallized foil and combinations thereof;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material to a-customer for use by the customer in wrapping the sheet of laminated polymeric material about a flower pot and securing the sheet of laminated polymeric material about the flower pot to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a floral grouping wherein a customer wraps a sheet of polymeric material about the floral grouping and secures the sheet about the floral grouping to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper while maintaining structural and mechanical characteristics of the sheet of polymeric material;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of polymeric material to a customer for use by the customer in wrapping the sheet of polymeric material about a floral grouping and securing the sheet of polymeric material about the floral grouping to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a floral grouping wherein a customer wraps a sheet of polymeric material about the floral grouping and secures the sheet about the floral grouping to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of flexible, laminated polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper while maintaining structural and mechanical characteristics of the sheet of laminated polymeric material, the sheet of laminated polymeric material comprising:
- at least one sheet of polymeric material;
- and
- at least one sheet of material laminated to one surface of the sheet of polymeric material, the at least one sheet of material being selected from the group consisting of a polymeric film, a substantially water impervious polymeric film, a metallized foil and combinations thereof;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material to a customer for use by the customer in wrapping the sheet of laminated polymeric material about a floral grouping and securing the sheet of laminated polymeric material about the floral grouping to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot wherein a customer wraps a sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot and secures the sheet in a position extending about the flower pot to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper while maintaining structural and mechanical characteristics of the sheet of polymeric material;
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of polymeric material to a customer;
- and
- wherein the customer wraps the sheet of polymeric material about a flower pot and secures the sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot wherein a customer wraps a sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot and secures the sheet in a position extending about the flower pot to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of flexible, laminated polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper while maintaining structural and mechanical characteristics of the sheet of laminated polymeric material, the sheet of laminated polymeric material comprising:
- at least one sheet of polymeric material;
- and
- at least one sheet of material laminated to one surface of the sheet of polymeric material, the at least one sheet of material being selected from the group consisting of a polymeric film, a substantially water impervious polymeric film, a metallized foil and combinations thereof;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material to a customer;
- and
- wherein the customer wraps the sheet of laminated polymeric material about a flower pot and secures the sheet of laminated polymeric material about the flower pot to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.

A method for providing a decorative cover for a floral grouping wherein a customer wraps a sheet of polymeric material about the floral grouping and secures the sheet about the floral grouping to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of flexible, laminated polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper while maintaining structural and mechanical characteristics of the sheet of laminated polymeric material, the sheet of laminated polymeric material comprising:
- at least one sheet of polymeric material;
- and
- at least one sheet of material laminated to one surface of the sheet of polymeric material, the at least one sheet of material being selected from the group consisting of a polymeric film, a substantially water impervious polymeric film, a metallized foil and combinations thereof;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material to a customer;
- and
- wherein the customer wraps the sheet of laminated polymeric material about a floral grouping and secures the sheet of laminated polymeric material about the floral grouping to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot wherein a customer forms a sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot and secures the sheet in a position extending about the flower pot to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of polymeric material to a customer for use by the customer in forming the sheet of polymeric material about a flower pot and securing the sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot wherein a customer forms a sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot and secures the sheet in a position extending about the flower pot to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of flexible, laminated polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper, the sheet of laminated polymeric material comprising:
- at least one sheet of polymeric material;
- and
- at least one sheet of material laminated to one surface of the sheet of polymeric material, the at least one sheet of material being selected from the group consisting of a polymeric film, a substantially water impervious polymeric film, a metallized foil and combinations thereof;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material to a customer for use by the customer in forming the sheet of laminated polymeric material about a flower pot and securing the sheet of laminated polymeric material about the flower pot to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot wherein a customer forms a sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot and secures the sheet in a position extending about the flower pot to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper;
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of polymeric material to a customer;
- and
- wherein the customer forms the sheet of polymeric material about a flower pot and secures the sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
A method for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot wherein a customer forms a sheet of polymeric material about the flower pot and secures the sheet in a position extending about the flower pot to provide the decorative cover, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one sheet of flexible, laminated polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein at least a portion of one of the upper and lower surfaces of the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material is modified to provide such surface with an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper, the sheet of laminated polymeric material comprising:
- at least one sheet of polymeric material;
- and
- at least one sheet of material laminated to one surface of the sheet of polymeric material, the at least one sheet of material being selected from the group consisting of a polymeric film, a substantially water impervious polymeric film, a metallized foil and combinations thereof;
- and
- selling and delivering the at least one sheet of laminated polymeric material to a customer;
- and
- wherein the customer forms the sheet of laminated polymeric material about a flower pot and secures the sheet of laminated polymeric material about the flower pot to provide a decorative cover having an appearance or texture simulating the appearance or texture of paper.
