Abstract
The present invention is an improvement in the treatment of migraine headaches. By administering dihydroergotamine alone (or a combination of DHE and caffeine) major limitations of past treatments are circumvented thereby allowing for higher efficacy and fewer side effects of treatment at lower doses.
Claims16
A method of administering dihydroergotamine across the oral mucosa comprising:

- a) providing:

- and
- b) contacting said solid oral dosage form with the native saliva in the mouth of said patient.
