Abstract
A modified polymer material is discloses, including a polymer base and boehmite particles provided in the polymer base. the boehmite particles are made up of mainly anisotropically shaped particles.
Claims38
A modified polymer material comprising:
- a polymer base;
- and
- boehmite particles provided in the polymer base, the boehmite particles comprising mainly anisotropically shaped particles having an aspect ratio of at least about 3:1.
A modified polymer material comprising:
- a polymer base;
- and
- boehmite particles free of surface agents and being dispersed in the polymer base.
A boehmite material comprising mainly boehmite particles having an aspect ratio of at least about 3:1.
A method for forming a product, comprising:
- providing a modified polymer material comprising a polymer base and boehmite particles comprising mainly anisotropically shaped particles having an aspect ratio of at least about 3:1;
- and
- extruding the modified polymer material to form an extruded product, wherein the boehmite particles are dispersed in the extruded product.
