Abstract
The present invention comprises apparatus, methods and articles of manufacture for processing and/or stripping wire comprising a wire processing or wire termination machine with a processing or stripping sub assembly actuated by a start sensor plate, where the start sensor plate has a textured surface, so as to retain the wires being stripped.
Claims16
In a wire processing machine which uses a start sensor to indicate the presence of a wire at a desired location, which indication begins the processing of said wire, the improvement comprising:
- a textured surface for said start sensor so that when said start sensor is contacted by a wire to be processed, said wire at least partially contacts said textured surface.
A method for processing a wire comprising:
- feeding a wire to be processed into a wire processing machine which uses a start sensor to indicate the presence of a wire at a desired location, which indication begins the processing of said wire, and,
- having said wire contact a textured surface on said start sensor.
A start sensor having a textured surface for use in a wire processing machine.
In a wire termination machine having a stripping sub assembly actuated by a start sensor plate, the improvement comprising:
- a textured surface for said start sensor plate so that when said start sensor plate is contacted by a wire to be stripped, the end of said wire at least partially contacts said textured surface.
A method for stripping a wire comprising:
- feeding a wire to be stripped into a wire termination machine having a stripping sub assembly actuated by a start sensor plate;
- and,
- having the end of said wire contact a textured surface on said start sensor plate.
A wire start sensor having a textured surface for use in a wire termination machine having a stripping sub assembly.
A method for processing wire in a wire processing machine which uses a non textured start sensor to indicate the presence of a wire at a desired location, which indication begins the processing of said wire, comprising the step of:
- replacing said non textured start sensor with a textured start sensor so that said wire will at least partially contact said textured start sensor.
A method for stripping wire in a wire termination machine having a stripping sub assembly actuated by a non textured start sensor plate, comprising the steps of:
- replacing said non textured start sensor plate with a textured start sensor plate,
- feeding a wire to be stripped into said wire termination machine;
- and,
- deflecting the start sensor plate through the end of said wire contacting said textured start sensor plate.
A method for processing wire in a wire processing machine which uses a non textured start sensor to indicate the presence of a wire at a desired location, which indication begins the processing of said wire, comprising the step of:
- texturing said non textured start sensor.
A method for stripping wire in a wire termination machine having a stripping sub assembly actuated by a non textured start sensor plate, comprising the steps of:
- texturing said non textured start sensor.
