A storage apparatus comprising:

• a storage medium in which data transmitted to and received from a higher-rank apparatus are stored;
• and
• a controller having a function of completing reading or writing of said data within a prescribed time required, in accordance with a kind of a plurality of said data stored in said storage medium.

A storage apparatus comprising:

• a storage medium in which data transmitted to and received from a higher-rank apparatus;
• and
• a controller having a function of differentiating retrying operation for reading operation of said data in accordance with a kind of a plurality of said data stored in said storage medium.

A storage apparatus comprising:

• a storage medium in which data transmitted to and received from a higher-rank apparatus are stored;
• and
• a controller having a function of completing reading or writing of said data within a prescribed time required, in accordance with each of a plurality of storage areas of said storage medium.

A storage apparatus comprising:

• a storage medium in which data transmitted to and received from a higher-rank apparatus are stored;
• and
• a controller having a function of differentiating retrying operation of reading operation in accordance with each of a plurality of storage areas of said storage medium.
