A method for assessing an individual for an atherosclerotic disorder comprising:
- testing the ability of an antibody from a sample obtained from the individual to oxidise lipid.
A method of isolating an antibody which is capable of oxidising a lipid comprising;
- providing a population of antibodies from an atherosclerotic lesion sample of an individual and;
- isolating one or more antibodies from said population which are reactive with a Chlamydia cell, said one or more antibodies having lipid oxidation activity.
An isolated antibody molecule which has lipid oxidising activity and which binds a Chlamydia cell.
A kit comprising an isolated Chlamydial cell and a lipid oxidation determining reagent.
A kit comprising an isolated Chlamydial antigen and a pid oxidation determining reagent.
A kit comprising an isolated Chlamydial antigen, a microcontainer and a reporter substance.
A kit comprising an isolated Chlamydial antigen and a free radical propagator.
